As I was born, this date, a.k.a. "my birthday" marks the second part of
XXth century
as the most important time in the human history. It all began on a glorious day
in bright sunny month, so many years after some guy's named Jesus birthday.
Jesus is strangely famous for some weird stuff he did long before I was born.
Accordingly, it is of no importance to me and therefore is of no importance
at all. So I won't waste my valuable time considering that accident. My life
took off from its starting point and has been continually becoming more and
more important and valuable for all progressive human kind ever since.
(ohhh, that was pretty long, huh? :)
If, after all you've read, you still dare to care about other people's
birthdays, check out
BirthdayWeb, but
God, will
you be punished for that!!!
That was a joke, of course. I like my birthday because it's usually a good
weather and a good hair day, and because I get to see or at least hear from
many good people, who appear to remember my birthday (what a surprise!:).
Here is my picture from my last year's
birthday party.
And the best thing about my birthday, BIRTHDAY PRESENTS!
What makes a good present?
I am not sure, but I know what is NOT a good present. Something you
think the person needs but does't want is not a good present. Something you
got for your last birthday and couldn't think of any way to use it since then
is not a good present. Something that you would like to get for your own
birthday is not a good present(for anybody other than yourself, that is).
So, what's left?
Personally, I don't like surprises... I mean, I don't get awfully excited when
you surprise me with an item I would never think of. I like when people ask me
or (better yet) somebody who knows me well enough. My sister is particularly
good at that. Having known me for almost 20 years, she successfully manages
to pick my birthday gifts for most of my friends.
