My work
I work at a small Internet software company, on communication security software. Maybe you even have heard of some of our products, such as Netscape Communicator.
My education
I went to graduate school to the
College of Engineering, Department of
Computer Science at the University of
Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
I graduated from Boston University
with a BS in
Computer Science and a minor concentration in economics.
I also studied at the Gorky University
in Russia (former USSR)
and at Salem State College in Salem, MA.
Even though I have always been (and am) interested in computer programming
as a career, my major at
Gorky University
was Applied Mathematics, and I studied
Business Administration at Salem State College.
My life
I am originally from Russia. My parents and I were born in
Gorky, a large city
in central Russia. However, my father's family comes from south Belorussia,
and my mom's parents moved to Gorky from city of
Orel.
Unfortunately, I haven't been to Orel or to the
south Belorussia.
I did travel around European part of former Soviet Union a little, before
my family and I moved to United States.
My family lives in a small town on the Atlantic coast in Massachusetts.
My younger sister
goes to Northeastern University
in Boston. (She is the one person who knows all about what I want for
my birthday.)
I lived in Boston before I moved to
central Illinois, city of Champaign.

I like to travel. I have visited most of the North East, traveled a bit
around the Midwest, and have been to the West Coast. I loved Toronto,
even though it is very cold. I'd like to go to Europe one of these days.
